Description
The trigeminal nerve is the part of the nervous system responsible for sending pain, touch and temperature sensations from face to brain. It's a large, three-part nerve in the head that provides sensation. The trigeminal ganglion is comprised primarily of sensory neurons and their fibers as well as two types of glial cells, satellite glial cells and Schwann cells.
Rabbit trigeminal astrocytes from Creative Bioarray are isolated from the rabbit trigeminal nerve tissue. The method we use to isolate rabbit trigeminal astrocytes was developed based on a combination of established and our proprietary methods. The rabbit trigeminal astrocytes are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to glial fibrillary acidic protein(GFAP). Each vial contains 0.5x10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen.
