Description
The sclera is the white outer coating of the eye. It is tough, fibrous tissue that extends from the cornea (the clear front section of the eye) to the optic nerve at the back of the eye. The sclera gives the eyeball its white color. The sclera has four layers, from the outside to the inside: episclera, stroma, lamina fusca and endothelium. And the endothelium layer is composed of epithelial cells.
Rabbit scleral epithelial cells from Creative Bioarray are isolated from the rabbit eye tissue. The method we use to isolate rabbit scleral epithelial cells was developed based on a combination of established and our proprietary methods. The rabbit scleral epithelial cells from Creative Bioarray are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to pan-cytokeratin (PCK). Each vial contains 0.5x10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen.
