Description
The renal arteries are large blood vessels that carry blood from your heart to kidneys. The kidney has one of the richest and most diversified endothelial cell populations found within any organ. Arteries have more smooth muscle in their walls than veins, and therefore have thicker outer walls. This is because they need to transport the pumped blood from the heart to all the organs and tissues that need oxygenated blood.
Rabbit renal arterial smooth muscle cells from Creative Bioarray are isolated from the rabbit renal artery tissue. The method we use to isolate rabbit renal arterial smooth muscle cells was developed based on a combination of established and our proprietary methods. The rabbit renal arterial smooth muscle cells are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to α-SMA. Each vial contains 0.5x10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen.
