Description
Osteocytes are cells lie within the substance of fully formed bone. They occupy a small chamber called a lacuna, which is contained in the calcified matrix of bone. Osteocytes derive from osteoblasts, or bone-forming cells, and are essentially osteoblasts surrounded by the products they secreted.
Rabbit osteocytes from Creative Bioarray are isolated from the rabbit bone tissue. The method we use to isolate rabbit osteocytes was developed based on a combination of established and our proprietary methods. The rabbit osteocytes are characterized by Von Kossa staining. Each vial contains 0.5x10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen.
