Description
Osteoclasts mediate bone loss in pathologic conditions by increasing their resorptive activity and degrading bone to initiate normal bone remodelling. They originate from myeloid/monocyte lineage progenitors that circulate in the blood after developing in the bone marrow.
Rabbit osteoclasts from Creative Bioarray are isolated from the rabbit joint tissue. The method we use to isolate rabbit osteoclasts was developed based on a combination of established and our proprietary methods. The rabbit osteoclasts are characterized by tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase (TRAP). Each vial contains 0.5x10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen.
