Description
Hepatic stellate cells are pericytes residing in the perisinusoidal space, between sinusoidal endothelial cells and hepatocytes, store vitamin A, and regulate sinusoidal circulation. Following chronic hepatitis, HSCs actively produce extracellular matrices and cause liver fibrosis.
Rabbit hepatic stellate cells from Creative Bioarray are isolated from the rabbit liver tissue. The method we use to isolate rabbit hepatic stellate cells was developed based on a combination of established and our proprietary methods. The rabbit hepatic stellate cells are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to desmin. Each vial contains 0.5x10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen.
