Description
The choroid is a thin layer of tissue that is part of the middle layer of the wall of the eye, between the scler and the retina. It is filled with blood vessels that bring oxygen and nutrients to the eye. There were found to be significant differences in microvascular endothelial cells from the retina and choroid, both in the expression of cell markers and their behaviour in response to growth factors and currently available anti-VEGF agents.
Rabbit choroidal microvascular endothelial cells from Creative Bioarray are isolated from the rabbit eye tissue. The method we use to isolate rabbit choroidal microvascular endothelial cells was developed based on a combination of established and our proprietary methods. The rabbit choroidal microvascular endothelial cells are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to CD31 or CD34. Each vial contains 0.5x10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen.
