Description
Astrocytes are specialized glial cells that outnumber neurons by over fivefold. They contiguously tile the entire central nervous system (CNS) and exert many essential complex functions in the healthy CNS.
Rabbit astrocytes from Creative Bioarray are isolated from the rabbit brain tissue. The method we use to isolate rabbit astrocytes was developed based on a combination of established and our proprietary methods. The rabbit astrocytes are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to glial fibrillary acidic protein(GFAP). Each vial contains 0.5x10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen.
