Description
Estrogen is synergistically synthesized by ovarian granulosa cells and theca cells under the action of pituitary gonadotropins. Androgens synthesized by theca cells enter the granulosa cells through the basement membrane and are converted into estrogens. Therefore, theca cells occupy a key position in reproductive endocrine regulation.
Mouse theca cells from Creative Bioarray are isolated from the mouse ovarian tissue. The method we use to isolate mouse theca cells was developed based on a combination of established and our proprietary methods. The mouse theca cells are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to 3β-Hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase (3β-HSD). Each vial contains 0.5x10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen.
