Description
The kidney is a part of the urinary system, responsible for filtering impurities in the blood, maintaining the balance of body fluids and electrolytes, and finally producing urine to be excreted through the urethra; it also has the function of endocrine to regulate blood pressure. Pericytes are cells that surround endothelial cells in capillaries and veins throughout the body. Pericytes can regulate blood flow in capillaries. Pericytes and endothelial cells share a basement membrane with a variety of cellular connections, including a variety of integrins, cadherins, and fibronectin.
Mouse peritoneal cells from Creative Bioarray are isolated from the mouse kidney tissue. The method we use to isolate mouse peritoneal cells was developed based on a combination of established and our proprietary methods. The mouse peritoneal cells are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to PDGFR-β. Each vial contains 0.5x10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen.
