Description
Kupffer cells are a critical component of the mononuclear phagocytic system and are central to both the hepatic and systemic response to pathogens. Kupffer cells are reemerging as critical mediators of both liver injury and repair. Liver kupffer cells are also important defense cells that clear bacteria and their toxins to antagonize infection, and also play a leading role in the occurrence of endotoxin-induced liver injury by releasing various inflammatory mediators.
Mouse liver Kupffer cells from Creative Bioarray are isolated from the mouse liver tissue. The method we use to isolate mouse liver Kupffer cells was developed based on a combination of established and our proprietary methods. The mouse liver Kupffer cells are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to macrophage marker (F4/80). Each vial contains 0.5x10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen.
