Description
These fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) probes are intended to detect the t(8;21)(q21.3;q22) reciprocal translocation involving the RUNX1 and RUNX1T1 gene regions.
A translocation between chromosomes 8 and 21, t(8;21)(q21.3;q22), is seen in approximately 8% of adult and 12% of children with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).The RUNX1/RUNX1T1 Dual Color Dual Fusion Probes have been used in several studies to detect t(8;21).
