Description

Human hypertension pulmonary artery fibroblasts are isolated from the carotid artery of human donor that has been diagnosed with hypertension. Human hypertension pulmonary artery fibroblasts are grown in T75 tissue culture flasks pre-coated with gelatin-based coating solution for 2 min and incubated in complete growth medium generally for 3-7 days. Cultures are then expanded. Prior to shipping, cells at passage 1 are detached from flasks and immediately cryo-preserved in vials. Each vial contains at least 0.5x10^6 cells per ml.

Storage and Shipping

Is there a limit to the number of stem cell passages?

Theoretically, there is no limit to the number of passages, but in practice, due to changes in the culture environment of the isolated culture, serum quality, medium quality, passaging damage and other external culture environment, the cells will have problems of differentiation, non-proliferation, aging and apoptosis if they are more than 10 generations old, so it is recommended to use them in less than 10 generations in regular practice.
