Description
The colon wall has four layers: mucosa (epithelium, lamina propria, muscularis mucosa), submucosa (loose connective tissue), muscularis (inner circular, outer longitudinal two layers of smooth muscle), adventitia (fibrous membrane or serosa) . Colonic fibroblasts are mainly distributed in the adventitial (fibrous membrane or serosal) connective tissue. Fibroblasts play a very important role in the repair of different degrees of cell degeneration, necrosis and tissue defects
Rat Colonic Fibroblasts from Creative Bioarray are isolated from the rat colonic tissue. The method we use to isolate Rat Colonic Fibroblasts was developed based on a combination of established and our proprietary methods. The Rat Colonic Fibroblasts are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to vimentin or fibronectin. Each vial contains 0.5x10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen.
