Recombinant Human basic Fibroblast Growth Factor (rHu bFGF) is a heparin binding growth factor, which stimulates the proliferation of a wide variety of cells including mesenchymal, neuroectodermal and endothelial cells. rHu bFGF also exerts a potent angiogenic activity in vivo. Human Recombinant Fibroblast Growth Factor-2 (FGF-b) produced in Sf9 insect cells is a single, glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 155 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 17,353 Dalton.
Human FGF2 expressed in Sf9 insect cells
CAT# CSC-CTK0138-25 (25 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0138-125 (125 μg)
Sf9 insect cells
Greater than 98% as determined by SDS-PAGE analysis.
The ED50, calculated by the dose-dependant proliferation of BAF3 cells expressing FGF receptors (measured by 3H-thymidine uptake) is <0.5 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of Greater than 2×10^6 Units/mg.
Sterile-filtered liquid formulation. The sterile protein solution (0.5 mg/ml) contains 20 mM Tris (pH 7.9), 100 mM KCl, 1 mM DTT and 20% glycerol.
Please centrifuge product before opening vial.
Storage & Stability
Although stable at 4°C for 3 weeks, the protein solution should be stored below -18°C. For long-term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
