The FGFs play key roles in controlling tissue growth, morphogenesis, and repair in animals. Fibroblast Growth Factor-18 is a newly discovered heparin binding growth factor that stimulates the proliferation and activation of cells that express FGF receptors. The human FGF-18 should be reconstituted in 5mM Tris, pH 8.0 to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted in water or other buffer solutions and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized human FGF-18, though stable at room temperature, is best stored desiccated at - 20°C. Reconstituted FGF-18 should be used immediately or stored in working aliquots at -20°C. Please avoid repeated freeze / thaw cycles.
