Description
The vaginal wall is composed of four layers: non-keratinized stratified squamous epithelium, lamina propria of connective tissue, smooth muscle with bundles of circular and longitudinal fibers, and adventitia. Fibroblasts are the main cellular components of connective tissue.
Rat Vaginal Fibroblasts (rVFs) from Creative Bioarray are isolated from the rat vaginal tissue. The method we use to isolate rVFs was developed based on a combination of established and our proprietary methods. The rVFs are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to vimentin. Each vial contains 0.5x10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen.
