Description
The uterine wall consists of a smooth muscle (myometrium) organized into three layers. the Inner and outer layers, mainly composed of smooth muscle cells, and the richly vascularized intermediate layer. The contractile activity of uterine smooth muscle facilitates the transport of sperm to the oviduct. The division and proliferation of uterine smooth muscle cells can be regulated by gonadal hormones.
Rat Uterine Smooth Muscle Cells (rUSMCs) from Creative Bioarray are isolated from the rat uterine tissue. The method we use to isolate rUSMCs was developed based on a combination of established and our proprietary methods. The rUSMCs are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to α-SMA. Each vial contains 0.5x10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen.
