Description
The small intestine is located in the abdomen, the upper end is connected to the stomach through the pylorus, and the lower end is connected to the large intestine through the appendix. Microvascular endothelial cells cover the surface of microvessels in a monolayer, constituting an important barrier for the exchange of substances inside and outside the blood vessels.
Rat Intestinal Microvascular Endothelial Cells (rIMECs) from Creative Bioarray are isolated from the rat small intestine tissue. The method we use to isolate rIMECs was developed based on a combination of established and our proprietary methods. The rIMECs are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to von Willebrand factor (vWF). Each vial contains 0.5x10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen.
