Description
Cerebral arteries are muscular arteries with thin walls and no supporting tissue around the vessels. However, the intima of the cerebral arteries is thick and has a well-developed internal elastic lamina. Angiogenesis is a process in which endothelial cells proliferate and migrate from the original vascular system to form new progeny blood vessel branches. Cerebral arterial regeneration can rebuild effective blood supply.
Rat Cerebral Vascular Endothelial Cells (rCVECs) from Creative Bioarray are isolated from the rat cerebral arterial tissue. The method we use to isolate rCVECs was developed based on a combination of established and our proprietary methods. The rCVECs are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to von Willebrand factor (vWF). Each vial contains 0.5x10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen.
