Description
Testicular support cells are present in the seminiferous tubules of the male gonads, the testes. They provide support for developing germ cells within the seminiferous epithelium by participating directly in the deposition of extracellular matrix components and permitting the formation of specialized cell junctions. Testicular support cells also play a central role in creation of this unique immunoregulatory environment where they provide immune protection to the developing germ cells, which if exposed to the immune system can invoke a humoral and cellular immune response.
Rabbit testicular support cells from Creative Bioarray are isolated from the rabbit testicular tissue. The method we use to isolate rabbit testicular support cells was developed based on a combination of established and our proprietary methods. The rabbit testicular support cells are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to 3β-HSD. Each vial contains 0.5x10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen.
