Description
The gallbladder is a small pouch that sits under the liver. The gallbladder stores bile produced by the liver. The gallbladder is primarily an absorptive epithelium that functions to concentrate sodium salts of bile acids by near-isotonic fluid absorption from the gallbladder lumen.
Rabbit gallbladder epithelial cells from Creative Bioarray are isolated from the rabbit gallbladder tissue. The method we use to isolate rabbit gallbladder epithelial cells was developed based on a combination of established and our proprietary methods. The rabbit gallbladder epithelial cells are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to cytokeratin-19 (CK-19). Each vial contains 0.5x10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen.
