Description
The bronchi are the passages in the respiratory tract that carry air to the lungs. The end of the bronchi branch into many small tubes, which eventually become small bronchi. The bronchial tube wall has smooth muscle, and the smooth muscle is excessively contracted during hypersensitivity, resulting in the closure of the lumen, causing asthma.
Rabbit bronchial smooth muscle cells from Creative Bioarray are isolated from the rabbit bronchial tissue. The method we use to isolate rabbit bronchial smooth muscle cells was developed based on a combination of established and our proprietary methods. The rabbit bronchial smooth muscle cells are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to PECAM-1/CD31 or von Willebrand factor (vWF). Each vial contains 0.5x10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen.
