Description
Chondrocytes are mostly distributed in articular cartilage and are responsible for the secretion of type II collagen and other types of collagen as well as non-collagenous extracellular matrix macromolecules. Chondrocytes can secrete and respond to a range of growth factors, including IGF-1 and IL1.
Mouse chondrocytes from Creative Bioarray are isolated from the mouse joint tissue. The method we use to isolate mouse chondrocytes was developed based on a combination of established and our proprietary methods. The mouse chondrocytes are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to collagen II. Each vial contains 0.5x10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen.
