Description
Established in 1989 from the pleural effusion of a 15-year-old boy with Ki-1 positive lymphoma (anaplastic large cell lymphoma; ALCL); carries the translocation t(2;5) leading to NPM1-ALK fusion gene; cells were originally described to be EBV positive; however, viral analyses (PCR and western blot) at the Creative Bioarray established that the cells do not harbor EBV
