Cat.No.

Description
The Immortalized Mouse Cardiomyogenic Progenitor Cells are hygromycin-resistant, non-tumorigenic reversibly immortalized cells that have cardiomyocyte-like morphology and have maintained rhythmatic beating in culture. It expresses late stem cell markers (Oct3/4, Nanog, Sox2), c-kit, early cardiomyogenic markers (ISL-1, Hand2, Sca-1), and cardiomyocyte-specific markers (α-actin and α-myosin heavy chain). The immortalization process may be reversed by infection with Cre-recombinase expressing adenoviruses to revert immortal cells back into primary cells resulting in increasing differentiation potential. In the presence of retinoic acid, the cells undergo cardiomyogenesis where late cardiomyogenic markers (Actc1 and ANF) will be present. Dexamethasone may be used as a differentiation reagent, to express late markers ANF, cTnT, and α-MyHC. These cells are recommended for studies relating to cardiomyogenic progenitors in basic and/or translational research.
