Description
Rat Kidney Proximal Tubular Epithelial Cells from Creative Bioarray are isolated from tissue of 6-8 week old laboratory Sprague–Dawley Rats. Rat Kidney Proximal Tubular Epithelial Cells are grown in T25 tissue culture flask pre-coated with gelatin-based coating solution for 2 min and incubated in Creative Bioarray's Cell Culture Medium for 3-5 days. Cells are detached from flasks and immediately cryo-preserved in vials. Each vial contains 1x10^5 cells and is delivered frozen.

Quality Control
Rat Kidney Proximal Tubular Epithelial Cells are characterized by immunofluorescent staining with antibodies of E-cadherin or ZO-1. Rat Kidney Proximal Tubular Epithelial Cells are negative for bacteria, yeast, fungi, and mycoplasma. Standard biochemical procedures performed with epithelial cell cultures include the assays of cell to cell interaction, adhesion, PCR, Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescent flow cytometry or generating cell derivatives for desired research applications.
