Description
The cerebral arteries distributing flow from the circle of Willis continuously branch into smaller arteries and arterioles that course along the surface of the brain. The endothelium has a pivotal role in cerebrovascular disease. Endothelial dysfunction occurs after stroke and leads to oxidative stress, inflammation, increased vascular tone, blood-brain barrier (BBB) damage, and further thrombovascular complications in the brain.
Mouse cerebral arterial endothelial cells from Creative Bioarray are isolated from the mouse cerebral arterial tissue. The method we use to isolate mouse cerebral arterial endothelial cells was developed based on a combination of established and our proprietary methods. The mouse cerebral arterial endothelial cells are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to von Willebrand factor (vWF). Each vial contains 0.5x10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen.
