Activity
Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The ED50 for IL-4, as determined by a cell proliferation assay using TF-1 human erythroleukemic cells (Kitamura, T. et al. (1989) J. Cell Physiol. 140:323), is between 0.0400 and 0.320 ng/mL, corresponding to a specific activity of > 1.0 x 10⁷ IU/mg.
Endotoxin Level
<0.10 EU per 1 μg of the protein by the LAL method.
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Reconstitute in sterile 1x PBS containing 0.1% endotoxin-free recombinant human serum albumin (HSA) of less than 0.2 mg/mL. Stock solutions should be apportioned into working aliquots and stored at ≤ -20 °C. Further dilutions should be made in appropriate buffered solutions.
