Description
GDNF supports the survival and differentiation of dopaminergic neurons, making it a potential therapeutic agent for neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson's. It also plays roles in spermatogonia differentiation and kidney development. Dysregulated GDNF expression is associated with cancer progression.
