Description
Cerebrovascular pericytes are distributed in the microvasculature of brain tissue and are a key factor regulating the formation, stability and function of blood vessels. Pericytes are cells present at intervals along the walls of capillaries (and post-capillary venules). In the CNS, they are important for blood vessel formation, maintenance of the blood–brain barrier, regulation of immune cell entry to the central nervous system (CNS) and control of brain blood flow.
Mouse cerebrovascular pericytes from Creative Bioarray are isolated from the rabbt brain tissue. The method we use to isolate mouse cerebrovascular pericytes was developed based on a combination of established and our proprietary methods. The mouse cerebrovascular pericytes are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to PDGFR-β. Each vial contains 0.5x10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen.
