Description
Recombinant Murine IFN-gamma (rMu IFN-gamma) is a regulatory protein produced by activated NK cells and CD4+ and CD8+ T lymphocytes. IFN-gamma is capable to influence antigen presenting cells and to stimulate a number of lymphoid cell functions including the anti- microbial and anti-tumor responses of macrophages, NK cells, and neutrophils. Recombinant Murine IFN-gamma is a single, non-glycosylated 15.6 kDa polypeptide chain containing 134 amino acid residues.

                            Activity
Creative Bioarray's rMu IFN-gamma is fully biologically active when compared to standards. The ED50 as determined in a viral resistance assay was ≤ 0.1 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of Greater than 1 x 10^7 units/mg.
                            Endotoxin Level
                                Less than 1 EU/μg.
                            Formulation
Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered concentrated (1 mg/ml) solution in PBS (pH 7.4) and 5% trehalose.
                            Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product briefly before opening vial. The lyophilized powder should be reconstituted in sterile, ultra-pure water to a concentration of 0.1 - 1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
                            Storage & Stability
The lyophilized protein, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored dessicated at -20°C. Reconstituted rMu IFN-gamma should be used immediately or stored long- term in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. For long term storage, it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid repeated freeze / thaw cycles.
