The MCP proteins belong to the CC chemokine family, and signal through CCR2 and, with the exception of MCP-1, other CCR receptors. The MCP proteins chemoattract and activate monocytes, activated T cells, basophils, NK cells, and immature dendritic cells. Recombinant human MCP-1 is an 8.6 kDa protein containing 76 amino acid residues including the four highly conserved cysteine residues present in the CC chemokines.

Please centrifuge product briefly before opening the vial. The lyophilized protein should be reconstituted in sterile, ultra-pure water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.

The lyophilized protein, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted rHu MCAF should be used immediately or stored long-term in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. Please avoid repeated freeze / thaw cycles.
