Recombinant Human Interleukin-1 alpha (rHu IL-1 alpha) is a potent immuno-modulator, which mediates a wide range of immune and inflammatory responses. Creative Bioarray's rHu IL-1 alpha is an 18.0 kDa protein containing 159 amino acid residues.
Human IL1A expressed in E.coli
CAT# CSC-CTK0211-10 (10 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0211-50 (50 μg)
Greater than 98% as determined by SDS-PAGE and RP-HPLC analysis.
The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of murine D10S cells is ≤ 0.001 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of Greater than 1 x 10^9 units/mg.
Less than 1 EU/μg.
Lyophilized from a concentrated (1 mg/ml) solution in 20 mM Tris-HCl (pH 8.0), 5 mM MgCl2 and 10% glycerol.
Please centrifuge product briefly before opening vial. The lyophilized protein should be reconstituted in sterile, ultra-pure water to a concentration of 0.1 - 1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized powder, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted IL-1 alpha should be used immediately or stored long-term in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. For long-term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0,1% HSA or BSA). Please avoid repeated freeze / thaw cycles.
