Description
Olfactory bulb ensheating glia (OEG) is valued for its unique properties in promoting regeneration of the central nervous system components. While the Immortalized Human Olfactory Ensheathing Glia –Bmi1/hTERT has a comparable proliferation rate as its primary counterparts, the addition of the SV40 T antigen efficiently increases the proliferation of these immortalized cells. Similar to the immortalized human olfactory ensheathing glia –Bmi1/hTERT, the Immortalized Human Olfactory Ensheathing Glia –Bmi1/hTERT/SV40 maintains its lineage specific markers and neuroregenerative properties.
