Description
The olfactory bulb is located within the vertebrate forebrain, in which it functions to receive nerve endings/input from the nasal cavity. The sense of smell is associated with the nerve tissues of the olfactory bulb.Immortalized Mouse Olfactory Bulb Cells (OBC6) is immortalized with non-replicating retrovirus carrying the avian Myc gene. It is a sister derivative from the Immortalized Mouse Olfactory Bulb Cells (OBC1). These cells are selected with the presence of G418. It is a valuablein vitrotool for studies relating to the functions and the biology of the olfactory bulb.
