The requirements of tumor cells for culture medium are not as strict as normal cells, and the commonly used medium such as RPMIl640, DMEM, and Mc-Coy5A can be used for tumor cell culture. Tumor cells require less serum than normal cells, and normal cells cannot grow without serum, while tumor cells can also grow in a low serum medium.
