Established from a polyoma virus-induced osteogenic sarcoma in an A.SW mouse; cells were converted into ascitic form growing in suspension by serial intraperitoneal inoculation into genetically compatible mice; described to have lost double minute chromosomes which were still present in the original tumor cell line, but reoccur when retransplanted into mice
