Established from tumor material of a previously subcutaneously passaged rapidly growing, hormone independent, anaplastic and metastatic variant of the rat Dunning R 3327 AT prostate tumor in Copenhagen rats; cells were described to be androgen insensitive and to have a high metastatic potential with dissemination to lymph nodes and lungs in rats
