SuperQuick® Ames Assay Kit (TA1535 strain) utilizes a nutrient-deficient Salmonella typhimurium TA1535 strain as the indicator organism to assess the mutagenic potential of test substances. The assay detects point mutations and frameshift mutations by measuring changes in the number of bacterial colonies.
