P53/CEP 17 Probe

The p53 (17p13) specific DNA Probe is optimized to detect copy numbers of the p53 gene region at 17p13. The Chromosome 17 Satellite Enumeration Probe is included to facilitate chromosome identification. The ability to use FISH probes such as the p53 (17p13.1) for interphase cytogenetics has provided new insights into chromosomal aberrations. This probe may be used to detect the deletion (not mutation) or amplification of the p53 locus.The p53 (17p13.1) SpectrumOrange Probe is an approximately 145 kb probe.
