Description
The TP53/CEP 17 FISH Probe is intended to detect the copy number of the LSI TP53 probe target located at chromosome 17p13.1 and of the CEP 17 probe target located at the centromere of chromosome 17.
A recurring deletion that occurs in various leukemias, such as CLL and multiple myeloma, is the loss of the 17p13 region, which has been associated with poor sample outcome, both in CLL and in myeloma. The TP53/CEP 17 probe combination has been used to detect the loss of the TP53 region in CLL and myeloma studies.
