Adult Stem Cell Generation

Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), together with hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs), and other functional stem cells are frequently used cell types for cell-based therapeutics, drug screening, and pathology study of disease on cell models. Moreover, it is important to establish correctly typed cell lines from human tissue donations. Creative Bioarray provides service for isolating, and identifying MSCs, HSCs, and other adult stem cells from various tissues obtained through human tissue donation.

Application:

Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have drawn great interest in the field of regenerative medicine, for cell replacement, immunomodulatory, and gene therapies. It has been shown that these multipotent stromal cells can be isolated from tissues such as bone marrow, adipose tissue, trimester amniotic tissue, umbilical cord blood, and deciduous teeth and can be expanded in adherent culture. They have the capacity to differentiate into cells of the connective tissue lineages in vitro and contribute to tissue parenchyma in vivo.

Other adult stem cells are found in small numbers in most adult tissues, such as bone marrow or fat. They can help the body to heal itself because they play critical role in regeneration and therapy. As they can divide easily, they can replace dead and injured cells. Thus, adult stem cells can help to understand how diseases occur, use in regenerative medicine, and test new drug for safety and effectiveness.
