Description
The choroid is a thin layer of tissue that is part of the middle layer of the wall of the eye, between the scler and the retina. It is filled with blood vessels that bring oxygen and nutrients to the eye. There is connective tissue outside the choroidal neovascularization, which is composed of fibroblasts and plays a supporting and protective role.
Rat Choroidal Fibroblasts from Creative Bioarray are isolated from the rat eye tissue. The method we use to isolate Rat Choroidal Fibroblasts was developed based on a combination of established and our proprietary methods. The Rat Choroidal Fibroblasts are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to Desmin or vimentin. Each vial contains 0.5x10^6 cells per ml and is delivered frozen.
