CSC-CTK0354
Description
Recombinant Human Osteoprotegerin (rHu OPG) is a member of the TNFR superfamily that can act as a decoy receptor for RANKL. OPG is expressed in a wide variety of tissues including adult heart, lung, kidney, liver, spleen, prostate, lymph node and bone marrow. OPG is secreted both as a monomeric and a dimeric protein. Its primary structure consists of seven distinct domains, four of which corresponds to the extracellular cysteine-rich domains of TNFR proteins and constitutes the soluble OPG. Recombinant human OPG (OPG-Fc) produced in yeast has a calculated molecular mass of 46.5 kDa and contains 412 amino acid residues, including 180 residues from mature OPG (aa 22-201) and 232 residues from the Fc protein of human IgG1.

N/A
Formulation
Lyophilized from a sterile-filtered protein solution (0.5 mg/ml) in PBS (pH 7.4).
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product briefly before opening the vial. The lyophilized protein should be reconstituted in 5 mM Tris (pH 7.5) to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized rHu OPG, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted rHu OPG should be used immediately or stored long-term in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze / thaw cycles.
