ActoFactor™ Recombinant Human Interleukin 7 (E. coli)
- Specification
- Recommended Products
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0236
Description
Recombinant Human Interleukin-7 (rHu IL-7) is a potent lymphoid cell growth factor, which affects Pre-B, Pro-B and early T-cells. It will also affect mature T-cells in combination with other factors such as IL2. Human IL-7 is a 17.412 kDa single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 153 amino acid residues.
Species
Human
Product Overview
Human IL7 expressed in E.coli
Molecular Mass
17.4 kDa
Size
CAT# CSC-CTK0236-10 (10 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0236-50 (50 μg)
Expression System
E.coli
Purity
Greater than 98% as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analysis.
Activity
Creative Bioarray's rHu IL-7 is fully biologically active when compared to standards. The ED50, as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of murine IXN/2B cells, is ≤ 0.5 ng/ml corresponding to a specific activity of Greater than 2 x 10^6 units/mg.
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1 EU/μg.
Formulation
Lyophilized from a concentrated, sterile-filtered protein solution with no additives.
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product briefly before opening the vial. The lyophilized protein should be reconstituted in sterile, ultra-pure water to a concentration of 0.1 - 1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized protein, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored dessicated at -20°C. Reconstituted rHu IL-7 should be used immediately or stored long-term in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. For long term storage, it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid repeated freeze / thaw cycles.
