Description
Rabbit Umbilical Cord Blood Mesenchymal Stem Cells can be isolated and cultured in vitro. We provide evidence that Rabbit Umbilical Cord Blood Mesenchymal Stem Cells have low immunogenicity because of the absence of CD40, CD80 and CD86 and demonstrate immunosuppression, at least in part, by secreting IL-10 to inhibit the immune response. Furthermore, an in vivo study indicates that rUCMSCs can promote osteogenesis in a xenogeneic host with little inflammatory reaction. Rabbit Umbilical Cord Blood Mesenchymal Stem Cells may comprise a new cell source for tissue engineering and regeneration medicine.
