ActoFactor™ Recombinant Mouse Placental growth factor (E. coli)

  • Specification
  • Recommended Products
Cat.No.
CSC-CTK0755
Description
Placenta growth factor (PlGF), a homodimeric glycoprotein that is homologous to vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), is mitogenic to endothelial cells and protects trophoblast from apoptosis. Alternative splicing of mature mRNA gives rise to three known isoforms of PlGF. PlGF is expressed by human trophoblast during normal pregnancy, however, it is not known which isoforms are produced. Recombinant mouse PLGF is a disulfide-linked homodimer containing two 142 amino acid polypeptide chains of 16.3 kDa.
Species
Mouse
Product Overview
Mouse Pgf expressed in E.coli
Molecular Mass
32.6 kDa
Size
CAT# CSC-CTK0755-10 (10 μg); CAT# CSC-CTK0755-50 (50 μg)
Expression System
E.coli
Purity
Greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLCanalysis.
Activity
Determined by its ability to chemoattract human monocytes of using a concentration range of 0.5-10 ng/ml.
Endotoxin Level
Less than 1 EU/μg.
Formulation
Sterile-filtered, white, lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder. The protein was lyophilized from a protein solution with no additives.
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product briefly before opening vial. The lyophilized protein should be reconstituted in sterile, 20 mM acetic acid to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized protein, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted rMu PLGF-2 should be used immediately or stored long-term in undiluted working aliquots at -20°C. For long-term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
