Description
Nucleobindin-2 (NUCB-2) is an EF-hand calcium-binding protein. Nucleobindin-2 takes part in calcium homeostasis and is a multifunctional protein that interacts with Ca(2+) nucleic acids and various regulatory proteins in different signaling pathways. NUCB-2 is localized in neuronal perikarya and dendrites of mouse brain. Recombinant mouse NUCB-2 fused to the N-terminal His-tag produced in E. coli is a single, non- glycosylated polypeptide chain (amino acids 25-420) of 417 amino acids and a molecular mass of 49 kDa. NUCB-2 is fused to a 21 amino acid His-tag at the N-terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product briefly before opening vial. The dissolved protein can be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long-term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
