Description
Recombinant Human Granulocyte Stimulating Factor (rHu G-CSF) is a potent stimulator of bone marrow cells, especially those of neutrophil lineage. In addition, rHu G-CSF is able to enhance the survival and to activate the immunological functions of mature neutrophils. Human G-CSF G-CSF produced in HEK cells is a glycosylated monomer, having a molecular weight range of 21-25 kDa due to glycosylation. It has been purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Activity
rHu G-CSF is fully biologically active when compared to a standard. The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of murine M-NFS-60 cells is ≤ 0.1 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 1 x 10^8 units/mg. The specific activity was determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of murine M-NFS-60 cells (Mouse Myeloid Leukemia indicator cell line) and is typically 0.02-0.08 ng/ml.

Formulation
Sterile-filtered, white, lyophilized (freeze-dried)powder. Lyophilized from a concentrated protein solution (1 mg/ml) in 1xPBS.
Reconstitution
Please centrifuge product briefly before opening the vial. The lyophilized protein should be reconstituted with sterile, ultra-pure water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into water or other aqueous buffers and stored at -20°C for future use.
Storage & Stability
The lyophilized powder, though stable at room temperature for up to 3 weeks, is best stored desiccated at -20°C. Reconstituted human G-CSF should be used immediately or stored long- term in undiluted working aliquots at -20o C. For long term storage, it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
